Attack of the Allergies

Not everyone is overly excited about the return of spring. According to the Allergy and Asthma Association of America, nasal allergies affect about 50 million people in the United States with 30% being adults and 40% being children. This includes both indoor and outdoor allergies, with the most common being tree, grass and weed pollen, mold, dust, and pet dander.

Here are a few ways to help relieve allergies and improve your indoor air quality:
  • Purify your air- Change your air filters. Air filters trap dust, pet dander, mites, pollen, and other contaminants in the air. Keeping a clean environment in your home can prevent allergy triggers.

  • Seal your ductwork- Leaky ducts can let in debris and dust, sealing your ducts can prevent any contaminants from getting in

  • Avoid pet dander- Keep pets of furniture and out of bedrooms where you are sleeping.
