Too hot? Too cold? Just right.

The temperature of a home can become a constant battle to fit everyone’s needs. Is there a right answer that will keep everyone happy? Truth is, since everyone is different there is no set temperature to please every preference. But good news, there are several ways to keep your family warm and your energy bills low.

Purchase a programmable thermostat
Use this to your advantage! Set cooler temperatures at night and when you are away from home and this can help you save on energy bills.

Set the thermostat to 68°
This temperature is always a good compromise. Fun fact, each degree you lower in the 60 and 70 degree ranges, you can save up to 5% on heating costs.

Keep your furnace filter clean
Make sure to change the filter every month when the furnace is in high use. A clean furnace filter will ensure your system runs properly and not restricting air flow which makes the furnace work overtime, therefore saving you money.

Dress warm or wear warmer clothing
Add on layers or use blankets to keep warmer in your home instead of cranking up the heat. This will save you money on energy bills!
