2016 New Year’s Resolutions for your HVAC System

Happy New Year! It’s almost officially the start of 2016, and we know that many of you have New Year’s resolutions on your mind. Most resolutions involve being healthier and saving money. Great news, your HVAC system can help you achieve both of those resolutions!

3 HVAC New Year’s resolutions for 2016
  • I will schedule annual maintenance for my HVAC system (furnace and air conditioner). Scheduling an annual tune-up for your furnace and air conditioner can help prevent costly breakdowns, which saves you money. Help minimize the amount of money you spend on energy bills and repairs and schedule your tune-ups in 2016!

  • I will check/change my air filter throughout the year. Changing the air filter in your HVAC system is a crucial task in maintaining your system. Dirty air filters can prevent airflow causing an increase in operating costs and does not provide adequate protection leading to breakdowns. Last, changing your air filter can ensure breathable air in your home, weeding out airborne contaminants to make a healthier home.

  • I will use my programmable thermostat wisely. If you don’t already have a programmable thermostat, make it a top priority to invest in one in 2016! Cut your heating and cooling costs by adjusting the thermostat to a set schedule when you are home or not home. The programmable thermostat will automatically adjust throughout the day to the schedule you have set, saving you money!
